This is the story of the Korianan people. They are the magic-wielding caretakers and creators of their world, but long ago they were forced into exile as the result of a vicious, brutal war. While the world outside continued to turn, they were all but forgotten by the other humanoid species. Their culture was lost, their people frozen in time. Now without their magical stewards, the other species left on the planet use war, politics, and sex to shape their world.
The series is epic high fantasy with some erotica. I felt that grown adults commonly have sex, and I wanted to include it, but I didn't feel it needed to take away from the story I was telling. The story is about this culture and this world, and the three parts of it are separated by extremely long stretches of time. I work on the the three books simultaneously, and each one absolutely contains spoilers for the previous one.

“Hello!” Ann recovers first, her voice coming out too loud and forced. Akira frowns as the boy noticeably flinches, his eyes watering up. “What’s your name?”
The boy looks down at the black gloves that form a blanket over his small hands. “I’m Goro,” he says softly. “W-where am I? Are you Mom’s friends?”

Love how she writes young Akira and her ideas about his home.
A companion piece to another story where Akira takes care of a young Goro. In this story, Goro is left to care for young Akira, and the insight it gives him into Akira's personality and how young Akira changes him are incredibly interesting to see. The authors also use this as a way to explore what Goro really likes about the adult/teen version of Akira, and that is really fun to see too. I would highly recommend this story to anyone who doesn't hate children.
Warning: Maruki's a real D-Bag in this one.

Not sure how to describe this fic. Essentially it is about Goro and the thoughts and feelings he has when he truly believes he's about to die and by Joker's hands. A really interesting look into his psyche and a bit of a look at Joker's as well. Well worth the read if you can handle the subject matter.

Akechi Goro gets a second chance at childhood and Akira wants to make sure it goes right. Child Goro is adorable, and though Akira's parenting instincts border a little too close to perfect sometimes, it's wonderful to see someone like Akechi a second chance at life. Akira being able to finally let go of the weight of Akechi's death is incredibly cathartic as well.

Very interesting fic, filled with sweet and longing moments. Ultimately I wish it had been a little longer or a little more explored, and I definitely am wondering where Maruki wondered off to, but still a very enjoyable read. The feeling of longing is intense and powerfully written.

Very entertaining and enjoyable.
It's very nice to see an Akira/Akechi fic where the typical role of Akira as "caretaker" and Goro as "care receiver" are reversed. And the author manages to do it in a way that distorts neither one of them.
Although the fic is very fun and entertaining, there is a powerful feeling of isolation that begins to set in as it goes on, no doubt a feeling the author wanted to capitalize on since quarantine and isolation go hand in hand. If the fic had not been limited to Goro's point of view the feeling might have been overwhelming, but since we only catch glimpses of Akira through Goro, it's effects are limited to a manageable level, and ultimately it is all worth it in the end.
In depression there is no miracle cure, but we make do, and that's what this fic shows.
I highly recommend this fic to anyone who has dealt with depression or is interested in seeing a view of it from the outside. Goro Akechi's attempts to help are adorable and amusing and make this story well-worth the read.

Very good fic with good characterization for all who appear. Even though it is a Ryuji/Akira fic, the story focuses a lot on the rest of the teams reactions to Ryuji's actions, actions that Ryuji takes on Akira's behalf. It's not sweet or sappy or romantic, instead it's a story about how love can motivate you to be the best version of yourself and it's transformative power.
