Summary
After a stressful day as the president of the students' committee, Sua just wants to lie in bed and cuddle with her girlfriend, Mizi, and watch a film together. Yet, at the mention of another fellow member of the committee, Sua just loses it and starts complaining about the girl's behaviour for longer than she meant to. Little did she know that Mizi didn't mind hearing out her rants, and instead stayed by her side the whole time, before making her snap out of her thoughts and giving her something better to think about.

After a long walk to the station, Sua stood waiting for her train, the familiar hum settling around her.
Then she noticed Mizi, an acquaintance she always seemed to run into, also on her way to class. They exchanged a few words, nothing out of the ordinary, and soon boarded the train together.
It wasn’t anything new. Same train, same time, even the same seats beside each other.
Their paths always crossed as if by routine.
But lately, these coincidences felt…
Heavier.Almost intentional. And Sua couldn’t help but wonder: could these small moments repeated over and over, begin to shift how they saw each other?

Sua knew she was going to die first. In away, she reveled in it—she wanted it more than anything. She wanted to die first more than she wanted to survive. If someone asked her why, she would say it was for Mizi’s sake—but even in a world where they could both live side by side, Sua would choose this kind of ending. There was something formidable about the target painted on her neck, and she was choosing to believe there was something more with the Great Anakt—something freeing, not so suffocating underneath a warm body.

Well, that may have been the most unsuccessful plan I have ever executed. Sua thought in her head as she picked up her bag left on one of the plastic chairs in the classroom. But, there’s always next year, or maybe running a club just isn’t for me. I’ll just tell my sister that I had at least tried—
“Uhm, excuse me? This is where the baking club meeting takes place, right? Am I too late?”

Sua starts up a baking club and meets Mizi, who brings something new to her life.

Summary
The rules about the stage were very simple. Sua might seem like the least likely to know—but she knew how the games would play out very well. She knew. And even if death loomed over her, like an old human killing-machine—they used to call it a guillotine, something from an old language—that sharp blade of the crowd’s discredit to Sua’s mere existence—well, at least Mizi wouldn’t be the one to go first. The rules Sua knew were only a little different than the rules that Mizi knew, after all.

Sua wasn’t sure why they always had to suffer to be treated well, in the aftermath. In fact, she wasn’t sure why they had to suffer at all—her head hurt, and Mizi’s form in front of her didn’t even look real. Something ached and splintered in her chest.
