Summary
Ratchet never told publicly to the next generation of robots that he had Built the robots known as The Dinobots.
Unfortunately, during an accident, all 5 of them were lost, their bodies never found.
It caused him and Wheeljack to separate for centuries.
However, things change when during his voyage on the Lost Light, Ratchet is faced with the potential to mend broken relationships and to rebuild his family he thought he lost long ago.
And Rodimus is one nosey mech.

What would happen if, theoretically, Wheeljack were to create a clone that he needed to take care of and enrich but failed to mention to the rest of the team so now they have to deal with the Decepticons tearing up energy sources on Earth, Megatron finding any way to sabotage the Autobots, and new threats as every corner ON TOP OF having to care for a sparkling?
Chaos would happen, actually. And a lot of temper tantrums.

Knock Out smiles. A challenge glitters, in his optics. He wipes the spilled energon off of Wheeljack and tosses aside the rag with a haughty sigh.

In which Wheeljack has help escaping the Nemesis in S3E1 because Knock Out believes in true love and has nothing left to lose, Wheeljack fights tooth and nail to stay a washed-up inventor, Miko plans to go to trade school after saving the world (again), and Bulkhead finally gets the family he's been looking for. -
