Ending to Supernatural.
He always figured it would end like this, guns blazing. He hoped that it could be different, him and Dean could get out, have apple pie lives. In a way though, Sam knew that was never going to happen. As long as there was evil in the world they would fight it until the end. It was the family business after all, saving people, hunting things.
Gabriel shows Sam his future if he goes with Dean. -

Summary
After tragically losing his wife and daughter in a car crash, Jim Hopper finds God—or, maybe, God finds him. He's never been a particularly religious man, but on a Tuesday morning following a grief-induced bender, on the floor of his kitchen, Jim receives a call he can't refute, a call to serve in Hawkins.
As Pastor Jim reluctantly settles into his new role, he grapples with questions. Why, God? Why would You let this happen? Why them and not me? Do I even deserve to stand behind this pulpit every day? Despite his immense, lingering grief and guilt, a slew of unhealthy vices, and a sanctimonious congregation sowing seeds of doubt in his mind, Jim's most significant crisis of faith finally rears its face when it pulls up to his parsonage in a bright green Pinto bearing a welcoming casserole: Joyce Byers, single mom of two, scorned by the church, and just as beautiful as the day he left her standing at Hawkins High in 1959.
While Jim's relationship with Joyce blossoms, tempting him towards lechery, he begins to discover God's reason for calling him back to his hometown may have nothing to do with his parish at all; for mourning, broken souls may find healing in places they least expect…
