The monster writhes beneath his touch, antlers thrashing against the snow, hips bucking to meet Will’s fist. The heady, savage scent of its arousal fills Will’s nostrils. As it nears its climax, Will wakes up.
Disoriented, it takes him a moment to realize that the throbbing erection in his hand is his own, his hips the ones seeking friction. A wave of sadness crashes over him. His hand falls away, as he stares into the darkness, cock bobbing mournfully in the stifling air of his cabin.
Until now, Will’s body has devoted all its energy to healing. This marks his first proper erection since the fall. Every fiber in his body screams for release, but, torn between desire and confusion, Will gives himself none.He closes his eyes, wishing to slip back into the dream, longing to lie down next to the creature in the cool white snow. But the dream is already dissolving like ink bleeding into water.

“Hardly,” Hannibal replies, trying hard not to laugh. Will’s answering glare is rather lovely. “Incapacitate, yes. Nonetheless, that is a rather interesting point, considering you’ve tried to kill me.”
The fingers on his shoulders clench down enough to hurt, but Hannibal doesn’t flinch. “Exactly. You aren’t allowed to die unless it’s by my hand.” Will growls. The dark, possessive undertone to his words hit Hannibal’s lungs like a sudden crack of thunder.
_________________Alternatively: Set after Randall Tier and before the Vergers show up. Hannibal gets mugged on the way home one night, resulting in some rather superficial injuries. Cue one very angry, very jealous Will Graham and a night that changes the game between them forever.

The statement is so open and raw that it feels like a (second) stab to the gut and knocks the wind out of Will’s lungs.
“Why did you come here, Will?” He asks.
Will bites at his lip. He could lie. He could tell Hannibal that he’s on a favor for Jack, but deep down he knows he won’t. They’ve lied to each other so many times and now Hannibal is being open, and Will won’t sour that by lying. “I came here because… because I knew that you would.”
