The same cat that, at some point, had been the only reason they were still dating. The whole ordeal goes about as well and Erik-free as you'd expect.

She felt a strange sensation, like a hand brushing against her hair. Her powers were silent. She could not feel them, but she knew they were there. She felt Xavier's thoughts touch her own and her hand gave a sudden twitch. Green lightning arced between her fingers. Her powers were reacting to something. Even now she could feel it, the need.
"It wants to take." The words escaped her mouth unbidden. She couldn't help it. It was the only way she could describe what was happening to her.
Xavier nodded. "Yes... It is hungry." His words were gentle, but the implication was clear. "You are the reason, I know not for what, but you desire something. The more you feed your powers the more it seems to grow. But you may never feed it to satisfaction. Unless you find what it is you desire the most."
His voice was soft and soothing, but it cut to her core.
Because deep down she felt it in her bones. She was a leech on the world...
