Set after Mother May I. Eve's plan has worked, and Dean, John, Castiel and Michael have failed to save Sam from being whisked off to Purgatory after Eve's death, though an unexpected tag along means Sam is not stranded alone. Lost, in a realm that he isn't familiar with, surrounded on all sides by enemies, old and new, and a few unexpected faces, Sam struggles to survive, fighting for his life and a way back to his family.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, Dean is livid. Nobody takes his brother away from him, especially to a monster-infested Hellscape where Sam will be hunted and hurt, possibly worse. And, out of options, Dean is forced to remember a warning, that he had dismissed as a dream. But now, that warning might be the only way for him to save his brother. From the corner of the room, William, the boys' father, watched the scene with a mixture of surprise and confusion. The way his eldest son had behaved, the abrupt change in his behavior, and the way he was clinging to his brothers, all of that was a mystery to him. Part 4 of Guardian Stalkers and Ambiguous Miracles
God is gone, banished to Mum's universe where I guarantee nothing good is happening to him. With Raphael's and Trixie's help, Lucifer and Michael have had their full power as the Demiurge restored...and then some. When they become the Demiurge they are a single being with two bodies, but they are trying to learn how to manage when they 'merge' and to understand and control their new/restored powers.
Their human friends are adjusting to life with Michael and Lucifer as lovers (as they were in the beginning) who occasionally become an eerie single consciousness. Michael and Lucifer in turn are trying to achieve some degree of normalcy, living among their human and demon friends as Lucifer had before, worried about losing touch with humanity if they spend too much time as the Demiurge. To that end, Lucifer has returned to his work as a consultant for the LAPD, once again partnered with Chloe, their trust in each other restored and a friendship rebuilt.
Probably will make much more sense if you read parts 1-3 first.
