    Summary

    Izuku Midoriya has been used to people letting him down since he was four. He knows the world can be cruel, and cold, has heard the wrong words his whole life, since that fateful day. No one believed in him, no one would say what he needed to hear, so he had to do it himself.

    When it feels the whole worlds against you, all you have is yourself. So even when self doubt or hatred creeps in, izuku midoriya has to believe, has to tell himself with a firm certainty he may not always feel, that he will become a hero, no matter what anyone else says.

    Not all people are created equal. But people born with it all will never see the need to build themselves up more, improve more—people who never had to work won’t know how to, when the time comes, when reality punches them in the face, with stronger opponents and situations where you have to know how to adapt.

    And that’s the fatal flaw Izuku plans to exploit.
