Wukong lets out a curious hum. "Do you want to call me that?"
"...yeah." A beat. "It's nice."
Another hum, fingers moving to gently scratch along your ears and you resist the urge to kick out your foot, knowing you'd just end up smacking him. "And if I called you kiddo?"
Your face goes red again. You splutter.
"WHY ARE YOU HUMORING ME?"
You don't mean to shout but the words escape in a whirl of embarrassment and it makes him laugh, ruffling your hair. You groan and give into the urge, kicking him several times.

He looked over to Yon. They were sitting upwards, playing with the fabric on their new hospital gown. Laying in blankets made of the clothing he provided earlier. They had already run the tests and everything, now all they had to do was wait for their reports.
He reached over his hand to cover his partner's tiny one. Yon looked up at him with eyes that sparkled.
“Everything is gonna be ok.” He whispered, reassuring you.
Just then a loud cackling was heard outside the door. He snapped his head towards the entrance to see what it was about. What could be so funny? Was it an ambush? A trap?
Dr. Kureha swung the door open on its hinges and took a deep swig of her drink. “Well, congratulations are in order.” She looked directly at Yon. “You’re pregnant.”

And it was dark.
Suddenly, in the middle of the far distance, a white light appeared. With each passing second, it was growing bigger, bigger, and bigger still.
You realized, belatedly, that the light was drawing you in, tugging at your very being, and something about it was… awakening something within you.
The light grew closer, and your hope stirred.
You hadn’t wanted to die. You didn’t want to die.
You looked up into the light, and you reached out with everything you had.
With one final tug, the light pulled you into its embrace.
And just as tightly, you held on.
