"Why are you here?" Jolinar asked in bewilderment. "You changed your hair? How did you grow it so quickly?"
"Did you just call me Per'sus?"

We accompany Martouf and Lantash on the fateful but dark journey that brought them together and has cemented the deep hatred and scorn for the Goa'uld System Lord Apophis on both sides. They reflect their turbulent past in a moment of somber grief and loving remembrance of the people they have lost, trying to let go of the smoldering pain embedded in their souls after Apophis' seeming demise at the hands of Sokar in the alternate version of 'The Serpent's song' in this series when they send him back through the stargate - still alive at that moment. As they write about their past in a journal given to them by Daniel, the perspective changes to a full flashback later.
