Summary
It is the two-hundredth and eighteenth year of the Fourth Age. Eldarion, High King if the Reunited Kingdom has ruled over an era of peace and prosperity. However, trouble is brewing in Middle Earth; Umbar has fallen to southern foes, orcs and trolls have been sighted in the far north, and there’s been talk of a dark cult growing in the Reunited Kingdom itself. Can the ailing king hold the peace he and his father spent two centuries building? Or will Middle Earth fall under a new shadow?

Summary
Sauron, in some way or other, still seeks a hold on Middle-Earth and will resort to any means necessary to regain a new form. This form, who happens to be a rather unsuspecting Hobbit, travels across vast lands to seek ways of ridding this Dark Lord from the world once and for all—but not without the help of some friends.

Summary
Once upon a time, Tolkien envisioned a sequel to The Lord of the Rings, but stopped after roughly the first chapter. It was going to get dark from there, and so it was shelved.
This story is a would-be what-if, following from where the end of what Tolkien wrote leaves off, with the request set forth by my recipient for a story featuring Herumor/Saelon, and with the two of them making an attempt to summon Sauron.
In emulating the style and what Tolkien did in leaving the story unfinished, this chapter is complete, but the tale is left untold at the end.
