Summary
It has been one week since Faramir confessed to Aragorn that it is Aragorn, not Denethor, who is his true father. Aragorn’s reaction was better than Faramir had ever hoped – the King had been glad, to learn that his teenaged friend and Steward was, in truth, his own son by blood. Even Arwen had assured Faramir that she was glad!
Even with all of that, it has taken Faramir the entire week to gather up his courage to ask – is Aragorn angry, that Faramir kept the secret of his true paternity, for all of these months since the Ring War ended?

Summary
Sauron has been defeated. Faramir, though deeply grieving his fallen brother and fellow rangers, is determined to help Minas Tirith become a light of freedom and prosperity. He works hard to lay the groundwork for that end in a war-torn city full of refugees and fear as well as hope. Fortunately, he has the help of friends new and old, included amongst them his beloved, Eowyn of Rohan, and his lost brother’s beloved, Nessanie the minstrel (and financier).
Aragorn is leading his armies back from the Black Gate whilst trying to learn how to be the King of a land that isn’t sure it really needs one. He knows that his greatest ally is the young Steward he saved from the Black Breath, but not all of his long-time followers amongst the northern Dunedain are so convinced.
One of them is Ethiron, the spymaster of the northern Dunedain, who was left behind in the White City. But it doesn’t take the perceptive Ethiron long to realize that Aragorn is entirely right about Faramir. Faramir is not only on Aragorn’s side, but the best ally the new King could possibly have. Now, if only Ethiron can keep Faramir from getting himself killed before Aragorn can even be crowned!
