Summary
The situation of Jimmys family was… interesting, to say the least.
It wasn’t very often you found four siblings living on their own, no parents since the oldest was sixteen.
Even so, he adored his siblings. They made their situation work, taking care of one another however they could. They divided up what needed to be done, and they made do with what they had.
They’ve always been close. Jimmy was practically best friends with his younger brother, Grian.
Which was why they all found it strange that Grian seemed to be… pulling away.

Summary
What started out as a joke quickly turned into something more devastating.
None of the Hermits were excited for this exchange program, in honesty it sounded stupid to force them out of their well comforted school and home. Scar's friends weren't exactly happy he was the one picked for their social experiment either.
It ended up leading to a rabbit hole of a missing person's case, a teacher's suspicious death, ghosts, and a boy who adamantly refuses to where his uniform.
Scar didn't expect to uncover a cold case when he changed schools.

When his social worker begins investigating, Grian is returned to his mother and Pearl in their new town of Hermitsville. He's fine with it all. Really.

He didn’t know how long he had been running, he just knew that it was dark. And freezing.
It was winter now, when did this train wreck start? Void, he couldn’t remember. Vlador’s winters were, clearly, quite unforgiving, snow was slowly starting to pile up on the ground. Grian’s boots dug into the thick snow, he just kept running, refusing to look back. He’d never forgive himself if he had made it this far and got caught.
