I was always a cursed child, for as long as I could remember. Bad luck followed me wherever I went, and I thought it was mostly a coincidence, only half heartedly collecting good luck charms from random cultures and skimmed tidbits of mysticism from pawn shop books I didn’t buy.
Except for one book. A legitimate witch’s grimoire randomly showing up in my dad’s inheritance after I accidentally killed him with an unlucky throw of a beer bottle.
On the verge of death, I tried a reincarnation ritual I remembered from it’s pages, but somehow, it’s landed me inside the head of some random baby and her deadly, insane, masochistic family. Child services, I know we’ve had our differences, but please save my little sister and I!!!

DISCLAIMER: I found this in my docs when clearing them out and decided that this incomplete first chapter of it should be posted. This was written nearly a year ago, and I feel like this has potential maybe if I sit down and summon my thoughts from last year and actually plan it out into a fully fledged fic.
Paloma Addams, daughter of the infamous Wednesday Addams and step-daughter to Enid Addams, just wanted to graduate from Nevermore Academy without any hiccups. Being and Addams, however, meant her chances of that might as well have been in the negatives. Especially with whom her “father” was had her knocking back elixirs every week. That didn't mean she couldn't have fun, right?
After stumbling across a dead body in the woods of the playing grounds of Capture the Wolf with her step-sister Eliana, however, Paloma can’t help but think that something else is amiss when her hyde starts tickling the back of her skull. Nurture vs Nature, could they co-exist or would the latter prevail with destruction on its tail?
