Summary
In the small town of Hunter Falls, Illumi is able to flourish. Out from under his parents' thumb, he can finally live as his authentic self and explore the mysteries of the town along with his boyfriend Hisoka. But when Illumi leans too close into the mysteries of the town, he runs the risk of being sucked in past the point of no return.
Many years after the disappearance of their older sister Illumi, the Zoldyck children are sent to stay with their eccentric grandfather in the very same town she disappeared. Alluka and Killua are prepared to have the most boring summer of their lives. However, they soon begin to notice something isn't right about the sleepy town of Hunter Falls. Their suspicions are confirmed when they find a journal in the woods detailing the strange occurrences in the town. The siblings decide to use this journal to investigate the mysterious town and the disappearance of their older sister. Along the way, they meet an eclectic cast of characters like the mysterious Hisoka, determined Kurapika, kindhearted Leorio, and plucky Gon. As they probe deeper into the supernatural nature of the town, even more mysteries arise, and the siblings soon realize the only people they can trust are each other.

What would’ve happened if Gon was not only a girl, but also raised by Kite and Ging, and occasionally Zoldyck family and the Genei Ryodan | Phantom Troupe— and of course Ging’s OG friends— because somehow Ging not only took the Hunter’s Exam with not only Silva Zoldyck, but also Nobunaga Hazama, Feitan Portor, and Uvogin.
What if much like Gon, Ging’s best friend was a mass-murdering-assassin-criminal, and much like his daughter, Ging "doesn't care about what is good or the bad" when he is curious or amazed.
What if because of Ging, Silva realized it was his wife, Kikyo, who was the one ripping apart the once close net Zoldyck family?
What if Silva was Gon’s godfather?
What if Gon and Killua grew up knowing each other?
What if Gon didn’t know who Aunt Mito and great-grandmother Abe was?
What if all this all became because Ging actually raised his daughter, taking her on his adventures, and yes that even means to the Dark Continent.
