Ciel doesn’t move. Instead he huffs, “A snack.”
Eyebrows knit, Sebastian regards the boy. “It’s too late for a snack.”

“...Perhaps a cup of warm milk will suffice.”
That makes the boy perk up, sliding off the bed entirely. “Yes,” He says, nodding. He puts his hands up expectantly.

These small moments he shared with his master-- they were varied. Of all the contracts Sebastian had entertained, the Earl Phantomhive continued to be the most interesting. No one could surprise the demon like the boy could. Every conversation with the boy left Sebastian feeling something, and that was far more than he could say about his past contractors. In the past he had been left bored until the moment he got to eat each soul. The only emotion he felt was a detached sort of hunger.
This contract had changed him. Sebastian was becoming accustomed to an array of emotions he’d never felt before. Irritation, of course, since the boy was insistent on being a brat. Affection, at first of a vague, protective sort, and then deeper, something more. Love, almost. He shuddered at the thought, as much as it thrilled him.

And flat on his back in the center of the massacre his angel, half-undressed, looking at Sebastian like he’ll die if the demon doesn’t fuck him.
Beneath the red smeared across his skin and his soiled suit, Ciel’s skin is flushed a vivid pink, full of life. His eyes, blue and purple and hazy, are half-lidded. There's a speckle of blood beneath his nose and sprayed across his cheek.
Bent over him, Sebastian finds himself on his knees as if in devout prayer, his chest nearly pressed to the blood-stained floor. His uniform shirt is soaked; he’s only grateful his tailcoat is elsewhere, escaping the bloodbath. It only makes sense, seeing as the boy is as close to a god as the demon will ever have. A soul worth worshipping-- it’s not something he’d seen for himself, but there’s nothing even a demon can do to deny fate.

He fits himself over the boy’s body, drinking in the sight before him. The boy is lovely, pale and pink against deep blue sheets. Ciel reaches for him with loose, gangly limbs, draping them over his shoulders and tilting his head down to peer at him through his lashes. Softened as he is, he does nothing but sigh when Sebastian tweaks one of his pink nipples. It’s stiff and pebbled in the cool air of the bedroom after the heat of the bath.
“That tickles,” The boy exhales, arching his chest up into Sebastian’s hand.
“Does it?” Sebastian murmurs, then does it again.
Ciel giggles, wriggling against the sheets.

Sebastian could never let his guard down. Ciel knew that he was protected every hour of every day, with a contract sealing that safety in place. Even without that, Sebastian wasn’t the type of demon to give himself over to idleness or any kind of rest. Ciel had to trick him into forgetting he was a demon at all to force him to sleep.
Ciel held up a soft leather collar, looking down at Sebastian. Sebastian was kneeling in front of Ciel’s bed, almost as if he was going to assist Ciel with getting dressed. The main difference was that Sebastian had taken off his jacket and tie and had undone one button of his shirt to allow Ciel easy access to his neck. “Are you ready?” asked Ciel.
“Yes, master.”
Just the act of kneeling and slipping into a fully obedient mindset had Sebastian’s eyes glazing over as he fixed his gaze on the collar. Despite being a demon, Ciel could see grey tinting the areas under Sebastian’s eyes. He was exhausted and it was up to Ciel to take care of him.

Tonight he hesitates. This time there is something new. At times, Ciel cries out words in his agony-- don’t touch me, stop that, leave him alone, no more. It’s not unusual, given the boy’s past. But this is the first time he’s heard a name, and one that has piqued Sebastian’s interest. The only other name to leave the boy’s lips has been his own, or his brother’s; it’s one and the same.
It’s not just a name that’s left the boy’s lips-- it’s Sebastian’s name, wet and desperate. Most nights, he only remembers the contract once he’s awoken, calling for his demon to come and comfort him. Sebastian’s never been featured in the nightmares, as far as he’s aware, at least not to the extent that the boy has cried out his name.
