Kim Yongsun es una investigadora del departamento de policía de Seoul, ha quedado a cargo de la investigación sobre un caso de desapariciones de mujeres que parecen estar conectados a poemas enviados a la policía en forma de origamis.
Para la investigación busca el origen de esos poemas pero no hay nada que le dé respuestas.
Visitando una librería y bebiendo café comienza a conversar con la linda bibliotecaria que atiende el lugar.
Al sentirse relajada tras hablar con la encargada, regresa al lugar y conversando escucha algo hace estremecer su corazón, Moon Byulyi, la bibliotecaria, recita el poema contenido en la carta del perpetrador.
Yongsun se empieza a sentir confundida ante la que parecía ser una persona que atravesaba sus muros y la realidad de una peligrosa criminal.
¿Será ella la culpable? ¿Tendrá alguna relación con el agresor? ¿Que cosas ocultara en su pasado? Y más importante ¿Podrá hacerle frente a todo mientras su corazón duda? -

Being with Byulyi is easy in its familiarity. They work together, commute home, and eat the leftovers from Yongsun's fridge. It's easy to fall into another meaningless argument, and just as easy to lapse into silence once the bickering has run its course. What's harder is meeting Byulyi's eyes once there is nothing to pad out the silence.

Byulyi froze. Tears were threatening to fall once again while her hands curled into fists at her sides, trying to hold back the panic rising in her chest. “What… what do you mean by space?” She managed to say.
“I mean,” Yongsun said, finally opening her eyes, meeting her girlfriend’s drained eyes, her heart shattered at the sight, “we’re both overwhelmed. We’re fighting over the same thing over and over again, and it’s starting to eat me. I need time to breathe, to think—without wondering what she’s doing, or if you’re still choosing me.”
