Summary
After losing everything he ever had - his friends, family, even his memory - Rover has to navigate a foreign, yet not unfamiliar world. It is thanks to the hospitality of his first encounters he is successful and begins to piece his own story together. Along the way, he meets many foes and friends, and perhaps even more than that…
Jiyan, General of the Midnight Rangers appointed by Jinzhou’s Sentinel Jué itself, is many things. Tactical, focused, and a skilled fighter. But he is also deeply traumatized, having faced many hardships in the years of his short life. How will he react to the strange traveler changing the face of the world and the powers from all sides fighting for the rover’s attention?
His polar opposite is the New Federation’s most ruthless mercenary Calcharo - at least it would seem so. Calcharo knows he and Jiyan are not so different from the past experiences they share, even though the General thinks otherwise. Now it’s just a matter of convincing him. Provided a new face doesn’t get in the way…
When these three forces meet, what will grow from their combining? And what will be crushed in the maelstrom of their collision?

Summary
Laureate, Righteous One, Champion of the Great Agon, Unwritten One, Astral Modulator, Chief Steward... Arbiter; the list was endless. These names defined the man and his achievements over the countless millennia he had spent in these lands. He had travelled from one end of the planet to the other in search of an answer that nobody seemed to possess.
How to defeat the Lament. How to vanquish the Threnodians.
Day after day, year after year, centuries after centuries... millennia after millennia, he searched for the answer in every possible way, yet every time he returned empty-handed. The weight of failure pressed down upon him until he forgot even what it meant to be human. He kept starting over and over again, hoping things would change this time, until a heartbroken maestro stopped him in his tracks and asked him a question that made him wonder whether all his efforts since the beginning had been worth it.
Now, the threat of the Threnodian looms ever closer as the Dark Tide threatens to engulf everything in despair. However, this time he has decided to act rather than chase empty answers.
Humanity will endure, no matter the cost—even if the price is the one who has guided human civilization until now.
