A sharp little fang sunk into Will’s bottom lip as he bit down hard, a bead of blood trickling down his chin. Something shifted in the air. Will caught a whiff of acridity, Doctor Lecter’s dark eyes flaring amber—an ambiguous shade, deeper and darker than Omegan gold, soothing and warmer than Alphan ruby. His gaze reminded Will of a tiger—or some as-yet-undiscovered predator. It passed in an instant, and Will was left wondering if he’d imagined it.
“You want to… with me?” Will felt as though he might faint. His own voice sounded foreign to him.
“Most certainly.” The answer came without hesitation. “You are intelligent. Beautiful. Atypical. These are all highly attractive qualities.”

Having hurled themselves off of a bridge somewhere when the loneliness became too much."

In an Alternative Universe, Will is not called upon by Jack to help the FBI, but he still teaches. When Alana somehow manages to convince him to join her for after-work drinks, she introduces him to her elusive old mentor, Dr Hannibal Lecter, who decides that he must have Will by any means necessary, which is exactly how Will finds himself waking up in a concrete cellar.

A few more minutes passed by before it finally quieted again and you could feel the crashing waves once more, a moment of silence before; *click,* Hannibal unlocked the door and stepped out. Will felt it before he saw it, heat rushing through the room and fresh steam from the shower sneaking past the door in clouds of swirling white. The floor creaked when Hannibal stepped past the threshold, feet heavy against the wood as he walked confidently toward Will."
