Summary
Lady Tamar, wreathed in pale flames and sported a thin dress that didn’t leave much to the imagination, cocked her head at the three. It seemed like nobody was expecting a Saint to drop from the sky. The cobbles beneath her bare feet were cracked, twisted and glowing orange, melting in real time as Rain’s gaze travelled upwards, to Tamar’s face.
Rain’s eyes narrowed. If it weren’t for the fact that she had known Tamar since the Forgotten Shore, she might not have been too suspicious. The neat braid Tamar’s pale hair was usually in was frazzled and clearly coming undone, the mere fact that she wasn’t wearing armour set off alarm bells in her mind and the absence of her usually cool and aloof nature sent a prickly feeling rolling down her spine.

“Now, without further ado, let’s enjoy the view and let the tour begin! Please feel free to admire the landscapes we will be passing, and you’ll be hearing from me when there’s a particular landmark we feel deserves to have its story told.”
“Sappy.” Ray coughed quietly, slamming the hatch to the firebox closed with more force that was likely needed.

Summary
Rain dropped herself onto the couch, shuffling some blankets and pillows around to get more comfortable. Her notebook and her damp socks were thrown to the side as she crossed her legs and opened her laptop, muscle memory guiding her to the pirating website she often used. It was clear she would not be working tonight, so, she tried to feel disappointed knowing she would have to catch up another day. Her contribution to their anniversary would be by picking some trashy romance they could hate on together, as a couple. It always made her giddy knowing those loser characters on screen would never be in such a cool and amazing relationship as she was.

Summary
Tamar very nearly just fell out of the roof beams there and then. If her heart was in her throat before, it was now firmly tangled between her intestines now. Her eyes were wide as she stared with crawling dread at the rough rust that gathered round the abandoned iron, not daring to look up. Ice replaced her blood and her limbs were stone. Silence wracked the darkness, broken only by her heavy breathing.
Drip, drip.
“Can you hear me?”

Tamar ends up accidentally summoning a demon-like entity while trying to complete a Job. Surprisingly, she ends up walking out of that warehouse with not only her life, but also a deal that has more positives that she would admit to anyone (including herself)

Summary
To the right of her, Tamar Sorrow Pasha, who had been at the head of commanding the charge through the inner walls, a woman Rain deeply admired (Not that she would ever admit that, they were too high up in the military to be able to afford to show such weaknesses, it would be a scandal!), hiccupped lightly, rough hand blindly grasping for the wine jug another head of the attacking spear had just swiped away. Rowdy laughter filled Rain`s ears as two of the more senior navy men stepped up on the table and started hopping around in a traditional dance, swaying to invisible music. Clapping and jeering followed them. She flicked her eyes over to the centre of the grand table, where the Grand Vizier was bent over, whispering something to the red-nosed Sultan that made the younger man laugh out loud.

Pashas Rain and Tamar get a bit drunk during a victorious celebration. Turns out being a senior member of the military does not make you immune to the loose tongue that comes with excessive alcohol, it reveals some secrets about both women.

Summary
When consciousness decided to return to Tamar, the first thing she noticed was that she was lying flat on her back, something muffled digging into her back. Scratchy fabric - cheaply manufactured cotton probably - was pressed, seemingly etched, into the painfully raw skin on her back.
Where was her shirt?
With great difficulty, Tamar tore her eyes open, the lids snapping upwards like a rusty door finally yielding under strain. Choppy wooden ceiling beams greeted her, alongside the warm wash of candlelight. Warm, stale, slightly salty air immediately invaded her nostrils, and it rasped uncomfortably against the sensitive insides. Just beyond the fresh wooden panelling of the walls, she could faintly hear a rummaging sound from beyond her immediate field of comprehension. Scraping and bubbling and the rhythmic thumping of feet.
-
After waking up injured in a foreign place. Private Tamar finds herself in the presence of the chatty Rain, who apparently saved her from a very unappealing death via the sea. They have a conversation.

Summary
Rani was no ordinary person. Tamar, despite not knowing much about social interactions apart from the occasional moment with her fellow cohort members Ray and Fleur, knew Rani was special, someone eye-catching, like an elusive flower found nowhere except the ghastliest of Death zones in the Dream realm. From the clearly exceptional strokes of a well-worn sword to the pitch black chips of obsidian that were her eyes, everything about the other captivated the young legacy like nothing and nobody before. Rani was like her enigma, taunting the other to solve her, it drove Tamar halfway to insanity.
Tamar tries to figure out her feelings towards Rain- Rani, and fights a monster along the way.
