Ever since Izuku was diagnosed quirkless, Midoriya Inko did everything in her power to keep him safe. She started homeschooling him, stopped letting him go outside, and told him nothing more of quirks. Even with his tears, she tore down his All Might posters, threw his analysis notebook in the back of her closet, and sold the computer. With time, he came to forget about quirks. He was cut off from the world. He was safe.
