Summary
This is a story of more than one person. It is a story of the past, a story of the present, and a story of the future. It tells of intertwined fates and the consequences of one's actions. It tells of love and loss, of hope and despair, of joy and sorrow. It borrows from Arthurian legend and from the world we already know, setting it all in a galaxy thousands of years away.
The Dark Angels must work with the Astra Militarum to achieve a greater goal. It will take time, patience, and discipline, but the Angels of the Emperor and the Guardsmen of the Imperium are diligent and resourceful.

When a normal woman who enjoys writing fanfiction somehow gains the attention of the Chaos Gods, she is pulled into the Warhammer 40k universe. She embarks on a quest with her new friends to discover the secrets of the Warp itself so that she may return home. This is an exercise in creativity and an epic "weak to strong" tale as a possible new God-Empress of Mankind navigates her uncertain future in a frightening new reality. This is a huge, epic-length "hero's journey" adventure fic involving decidedly non-heroic people.
This is primarily a Warhammer 40k "isekai" fic embellished with elements taken from the general Oz universe with special attention to "The Wizard of Oz" (1939 film), and "Return to Oz" (1985 film). Knowledge of the Oz universe and L. Frank Baum's literary work is not required to enjoy this story, but it certainly makes it fun. I try to gently introduce Warhammer 40k lore as I go along for anyone who isn't very familiar with that universe. I try to update at least a few times a month.

On the Hive World known as Caetis ZY21, there's an uprising from two sources, the world's regiment of Astra Militarum, along with an untended cyst that is a Genestealer Cult. Imperial Guard, The Elysian drop troops, along with what remained of the world's Penal Legion, have been deployed to the planet in order to halt the progress of the traitors and infected civllians. The Black Vipers, who were in the system at the time, shall make planet fall in 72 hours, if they do not already have agents deployed.
Reports from the fronts of the first defensive line speak of horrors emerging from the former base of operations of the planetary guard. Screams of Agony and harrowing singing, chanting, before Heretic Astartes emerged.
Sending distress signal to nearby vessels.

A standard combat patrol for the Dark Angels chapter of the Adeptus Astartes is 10 Primaris Intercessors, 5 Primaris Hellblasters, their Master in his heavy Gravis armor, and three silent sentinels. Deathwing veterans wearing only their power armor, but with the very best of equipment.
Why has such a force, enough Astartes in one place to secure a star system, come to a backwater agri-community barely within the Emperor's light? One Astartes, left behind by the red priests of Mars to serve as the first of their new formation, is still given sidelong glances by his peers, those who have been a part of the Unforgiven for far longer. Perhaps Brother Damian of the Third Company will find his answers in this tiny hamlet, and the doom that will soon befall it.
