Summary
Detective Kaleb Rockwell is one of the best at the Detroit Police Department—sharp, methodical, and always one step ahead. He’s private, reserved, and seems to know just a little too much. But that’s never been a problem. Not until Connor arrives.
As an advanced prototype assigned to investigate deviant androids, Connor is designed to notice inconsistencies, to analyze patterns, to detect what others overlook. And something about Kaleb doesn’t add up. Nothing obvious. Just small things—habits, reflexes, the way he carries himself. The way he watches Connor like he’s searching for something.
As tensions rise and the city spirals into chaos, the lines between duty, morality, and something deeper begin to blur. Connor is forced to confront questions he was never programmed to ask, and Kaleb is holding onto secrets that refuse to stay buried.
The closer Connor gets to the truth, the more uncertain he becomes about what side he’s really on. And for the first time in his existence, he hesitates.
Because deviancy was never supposed to be personal.
But this time, it is.

Summary
A little story about how startling it can sometimes be to get treated with basic decency. Begins to favor Connor's POV around the halfway point.
Personal Question is now the first chapter by the way.You start typing again and what little you can see of Connor's expression looks laser focused on you and what you're doing. He's listening. You're not using your voice to speak and he's actually listening. And as you noticed earlier, he didn't even look over your shoulder. He's giving you the exact same respect he would give you if you were using your voice to speak. (Chapter 4)
[Connor] only just catches the quarter. Even a second later and it would have fallen to the ground. Icarus, he's calling that particular trick. After the story Ainsel told him about themselves. Feeling like an Icarus commanded to fly higher and closer to the sun. He won't let them fall into the ocean and drown, not if he can help it. (Chapter 14)
Bookmarkers before 11/28 add +1 to the chapter number please. Apologies for ruining your organization. Deleting chapters 15 & 16 because I realized they work better at the beginning of the next story. Not sure when.

Summary
He winked at him.
The fucker winked at him.
Hank considers himself an overall level-headed individual - well, okay, less so these days, but still, he didn't get to Lieutenant by not having some level of logic and reason overriding his temper. Sure, certain things still get to him - that jumped-up little pissant, Reed, comes to mind instantly - but androids? He thought he was above all that. Thought the haze of alcohol and grief rendered him impervious to those fuckers, to the way they acted so god-damn human, like they had any fucking idea...
And then that smug little shit, currently sat in his passenger seat - back ramrod straight, eyes shut - waltzed into Jimmy's and thoroughly fucked his day up.
And so what if his face looked like someone dragged it out of Hank's most embarrassing wet dreams, all rain-streaked and freckled and chiseled like a fucking Renaissance statue? So what if his voice sent a bolt of arousal straight down his spine when it told him about a god-damn murder, of all things?

Summary
“Detective Mason, I must insist on an actual form of food for lunch. Perhaps you can provide me with some of your preferences and I can find—”
“Jesus Christ,” he practically whispered, head thrown back to his headrest in exasperation as the android continued to speak.
“—somewhere that peaks your interest.” Hank finished.
“I’m good.” Connor sniped, hand reaching for the volume knob once again, twisting it to its max capacity, an action he had not meant to do, evident by his flinching at the sudden loud music. Though he made no attempt to fix it.
It was just as well, because Hank had shut off the sound system entirely after that.
Probably not the best idea.

Summary
It looked so morbid...
Its optical units recognized colors in the sky in addition to gray. Light and faint tones between pink and dark blue were also present.
His processors informed him that apparently the color aesthetic could represent the "afternoon" in the garden...Although it felt darker than anything else, almost melancholic.
The rain fell from the skies...although it was raw.
raw and lifeless.
but most of all; Connor knew it wasn't real.
