Summary
William de Worde was not a romantic by nature, in either sense of the word.
Sprawling, verdant grasslands blanketed with daisies, enclosed by majestic pines, standing tall against the barrage of time, while a brook babbled softly in the background, did about as much for him revelation-wise as a half-eaten day-old curry from the Klatchian takeaway next door. He also wasn't one for dating.
Which was why Sacharissa’s insistence on the Times promoting the new fad of a holiday based entirely around mushy feelings and romantic gestures came much to his dismay.
(William, Sacharissa and Otto interview Ankh-Morpork’s couples about their relationships, and try their very hardest not to think about their own.)

Summary
It all went wrong, somehow. A miscalculation. An unconsidered variable.
Connor existed to stop a war by preventing the deviants from rising up against humans. He was meant to save lives where he could. And yet somehow that led to Hank sitting at his kitchen table, with a loaded gun by his hand.
How could Connor consider his mission a success if he allowed Hank to pull that trigger?
Human beings don't get to see how different things could have been if they'd made different choices, or taken other paths. But Connor isn't human.

Summary
“What is this? I killed your brothers, so now you’re going to force me to take their place?”
“Killed…?” David starts to take a step forward. Michael shrinks back against the stone behind him, pressing his back into the rocky wall to help push himself to his feet, and David stops, again. “Michael, you haven’t killed anyone.”
The grin he flashes is toothy, knifelike. “Not anyone we care about, anyway.”
...
or, the one where nothing is the way Michael remembers it, and vampires may not be the only phenomenon that refuses to stay safely on the pages of comic books. -

Summary
They say that time is like a pair of trousers, and that’s mostly true. The problem with looking at it that way, however, is that no one’s bothered to question whether the trousers belong to something that only has two legs.

Summary
This was the first time Havelock had ever been tasked with saving a life, and it was the first time he’d failed an assignment. Really, the logical thing to do would be to leave this scene immediately and report back to Madam. And to accept his aunt’s curse. Perhaps even more logical would be to search the surrounding area for any trace of Carcer.
But what would John Keel do?
He glanced down at the unconscious boy at his feet, defenseless amongst the rubble. Chest rising and falling softly, oblivious.
John Keel would protect the defenseless.
He might still be able to save a life today after all.

Summary
Over and over again, Rincewind fails to die.
Death changes in the process of watching him.
-Death gestured to the barman with his half-empty glass. I JUST DON’T KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT HIM, YOU KNOW.
The barman nodded sagely. A lot of details about this… stranger and his story were oddly fuzzy, but he’d heard similar ones enough times to put the pieces together. “Ah yes, the one that got away.”
Death tilted his skull, it was an odd expression, but he supposed it fit. INDEED.
“Well, you’ll always have the dreams of what could have been, eh?” he winks conspiratorially.
I’M… SORRY? I DON’T QUITE FOLLOW.
“Your hair shining in the moonlight, his hand in yours, your faces coming closer together ''.
HMM. NO, NO I DON’T THINK SO.
“Denial? Yeah that’s how it is with lost love.”
Lost love huh? Fondness perhaps, Death thought, from repeated contact. But none of the messy human ‘romance’ stuff that Ysabell liked to read about so much.
But still. THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY? It was oddly fitting.

Summary
"What do you want?", Sam demanded tiredly. He sounded so much older than he was. Then again, everyone did those days. Vetinari suspected that so did he.
"For this city to work, Mr. Vimes. For the next ruler to be, perhaps not Good as you lawful men would see it, but better than our last ones." Not that it would be particularly hard, he added in the privacy of his thoughts.

Summary
The thing about History is that it is made by people.
You can tell your little speech about dictators and History always following its course until you're blue in the face and in your heart; if that were true, there would be no History Monks. If History could be trusted to follow its tracks like a train, why would there need to be more than a conductor?

Summary
Sam Vimes decided to return to his trouser leg of time in the hopes he would leave the dystopian nightmare world where he had to kill an assassin called Havelock Vetinari behind. However, L-space is funny - not haha funny, but strange, and cruel, and unpredictable - and something always finds a way. All actions have consequences and the commander and the Patrician have to find a way to deal with them or risk everything.
With gracious permission of the author, Donna Immaculata, I give you the unofficial continuation of Bracae Temporis.
