Summary
Alexandria "Lexa" Hamilton had trained for a large portion of her life to be in the military. When the time comes for her to finally be called to service, she chickens out of telling her best friend, Clarke Griffin, before she leaves, due to the recent loss of Clarke's father. Instead, she writes her a letter, which then begins their correspondence.
Letters between friends eventually turn into something much deeper as Lexa fights every day to keep living and to, hopefully, one day return to Clarke.
