But to what extent would this legend be a "scary tale"?
What if this legend was a way to keep a "monster", a "freak" isolated from the kingdom? Isolated only because of its "scary" appearance. A "freak" rejected, not only by its parents, but by the neighboring kingdom where it once lived and lived.
Unfortunately — or not — a thief would discover whether the legend was true or not while escaping from the army of the king of Makochi with his friends.
