Whether out of some sort of necessity or because of a misplaced sense of tradition, Arthur didn’t know. What he did know was that the trains came at night, and that tonight a train was expected in Blackwater carrying several rather important – and wealthy – passengers.

Based on the table-top game Deadlands, this is the journal of Mr. Ebon Ie as he chronicles his journey to defeat Jasper Stone and his personal mission to hunt down the Reckoners. Back in 2011, my friends and I played a game called Deadlands, a table-top RPG based in the "Weird West," an alternate 1877. Supernatural phenomena have caused the Civil War to drag on longer than it should, dead men returning to life, and the discovery of the new mineral Ghost Rock. We were a posse of six that set out to defeat Stone, and by the end of it all, two of us lived to tell the tales.
Five years later, Deadlands was picked up again with some new players whose goal is to track down Ebon's journal and continue his work of defeating the Reckoners. This is that journal.
