Controlled by instincts and uncertainty, it will be a long and hard journey to return Donnie back to normal. But as time goes on, is that even a possibility? How much is Donnie willing to sacrifice to fix himself? Thank goodness he has his family and friends (and maybe more than friend Casey Jones) there with him.

    A 2012 "bimutated Donnie" au inspired by the "Good Genes" episodes of the 2003 cartoon, with Karai and Splinter being good family members, a friendship between Leatherhead and Donnie similar to the 03 show, and some endgame Jonatello.

    -Leonardo can sing- very well
    - Splinter raised the quadruplets speaking Japanese as their first language
    -Leo has 101 nicknames for his lil brothers- most are in Japanese and will probably include some variation of baby/little within the name

    Set immediately after Michelangelo rescues Leonardo from the prison dimension.

    Recovery isn’t a straight path—anyone could tell you that. It’s messy, unpredictable, and full of setbacks. For Leonardo, it’s a lesson he’s forced to learn after being torn from a dimension he fully expected to die in. Escaping death doesn’t mean escaping the scars it left behind. Now, back with his family, he faces the daunting challenge of healing wounds that run deeper than the physical. The mental and emotional burdens he carried into that dimension didn’t vanish when he left it.

    But recovery isn’t just Leonardo’s journey. His brothers and friends are left grappling with their pain—pain made worse by the harsh truth that Leonardo was willing to sacrifice himself without looking back. Trust has been shaken, relationships strained, and the family must figure out how to rebuild together.

    Later in the story, another layer is added when the wounds have begun to mend and Leonardo starts to rediscover who he is outside of the burden he once carried. The relationship builds naturally, unfolding in the later chapters after the heart of the family story has been told.

    “I’m fine, Leo. I just hit my head pretty bad.”

    Donnie’s voice sounds far away and not nearby. Which causes Leo to stare down at the blurry green, with a hint of purple, form, just a couple of feet away from him, in fear and confusion.

    With Leonardo being forced to stay home due to his severe injuries caused by the Krang, along with his brothers, he tries to make a portal to Huesos to get pizza. But instead, he portal jacks a group of four turtles and three humans; all seven claiming to be alternate versions of his family.
