Summary
"Eternal modesty is the curse of the guilty."
Trey had a confession.
For a long time now, he'd been chased by a certain guilt. It was quiet now; he often didn't think about it at all. But it was there. He knew it was there every time that voice whispered in his head, telling him he'd done something horrible wrong.
Nine years was a long time, though. Maybe it was time to leave it behind.
But that option quickly disappears as the past comes back and slaps him across the face, held by the hand of a new foreboding future he'd looked away from for far too long.

Apologies for the worst summary in history.
...I just posted this because there isn't enough love for Trey Clover in the EN fandom.
Beta read by two lil cuties, trasshu_princu and just_middie. Thank you for covering my illiterate arse.CAUTION!
*This work is not tagged properly because the story is still incomplete. And let me warn all of you now, I am fucked in the head. Things may get very triggering and disgusting later on depending on my mood as I write this fanfic. But worry not, I shall keep warnings at the beginning of chapters if required.*There may be offensive/ triggering content. Please proceed with caution.
* This is all just for entertainment.

Summary
What if Trey had to go through something different? What if, instead of the usual past we are very familiar with, his life took a 180? When Trey saw Riddle dragged back home by his mother, and Che'nya going on a simple vacation with his family, it would have just gone as normal...But it could have been the first domino to fall that caused Trey to go through hell.
Trey was brought back to Wonderland and found it corrupted by the Red Queen. Will he free his Wonderland from this Tyrant's corruption, or will his own madness consume him?
Edit 12/9/24: Had to change the summary because I don't like the previous one. Might change it again in the future since I'm still not sure about the one now

Summary
He had lost Riddle so many times now. He lost him when they were kids and his mother dug her sharp nails into Riddle's arm and ripped his friend away from him. He lost him when they first got to school and his personality had been so manipulated by his mother he was barely recognizable. He almost lost him for good when he overbloted, and now he was losing him and he didn't even know why.
This time round felt different because it wasn't his family, or his magic, or some outside influence, it was Riddle himself. Riddle was the one making the decision to pull away from him. It was fully his own choice, what he wanted. It made it sting all the more.
This was exactly why he hated this kind of thing. Getting close to someone is fine, but the second you get too close the rug always gets pulled out from under you. Leaving you lost, confused, and alone. At least in Trey's experience.
-----------
Or Riddle overhears what Trey said to Rook and Jade in his lab-wear vignette and takes it to heart. Trey has to confront some of his more difficult memories to clear up the issue.

Summary
Trey still gets nightmares sometimes. Usually, it starts with Riddle overblotting. He gets foggy on the details, but somewhere down the line, Riddle’s face always morphs into his. He fights himself. He never wins.

Summary
Trey Clover's definition of 'normal' had always been simple.
Normal was the yeasty warmth of rising dough, the clatter of his siblings' footsteps as they chased each other around the Clover bakery. It was his father's calloused hands tousling his hair after school, flour clinging to his apron like a second skin. Normal meant freedom—kicking a soccer ball with neighborhood kids until dusk painted the sky orange, scraping burnt pastries off baking sheets without fear of reprimand, laughing until his sides ached at Che'nya's nonsensical jokes. Normal was laughter, sticky hands, and the freedom to choose—what to eat, when to play, who to be.
Then he met Riddle Rosehearts.

My love of Trey Clover is not thoroughly represented with the fandom.
With the lack of Trey-centric works I decided to just do it myself.
