“You’re the last person to finish eating,” he stated simply, “that means you’re on dish duty.”
“What?” Tommy asked, blinking rapidly. He was still trying to recover from the startle Wilbur had given him. “But—but you’re already washing dishes!”
Wilbur laughed a bit. “Yeah, but do you see this mound of gunk?” He gestured to the large pile of plates and other dishes. “I’m gonna need an extra pair of hands. Besides, you had the audacity to leave a plate behind.”
Tommy opened his mouth, then closed it, then opened it again and closed it again. He really didn’t want to do dishes. Finally, the only thing he could think to sputter out was, “What does audacity mean?”

or, a (long) christmas oneshot where tommy and wilbur are cousins who never see eachother. wilbur, two years older and a literature nerd, is too boring for tommy; but when he's forced to do the dishes with his cousin too many years in a row, tommy learns a thing or two from him.

When Wilbur moved from Endlantis to L'Manberg with his family, he never thought it would lead to him opening a bookstore, and possibly falling in love with the cute flower shop owner. But yet, here he is.
Thank you Saskia, for giving me this idea in the form of "Lmao what if Wilbur was a librarian?" and nothing else.
