The shape of a man takes a familiar form the closer he gets, but also foreign in his haggard state. And there is a touch of death to him, a smell of decay only the arcane can bring upon a person, and yet the first words out of his mouth are, “Viktor, are you okay?”
If Viktor could get his construct to laugh, he would probably be laughing now, the miserable kind that might bring with itself tears. But he doesn’t remember how to do any of that.

Unfortunately, he interrupts a delicate discussion of peace between Jayce and Silco, but he may be the missing piece to come to terms - as a Zaunite caught between both worlds, and in desperate need of a cure. Time is running out for Viktor, and his life and work may be the bargaining chips needed to end the conflict between the two cities and finally allow him the luxury of slowing down long enough to explore the possibilities between him and Jayce that they’ve been circling around for years.

Vi is set to take the blame and face a sentence in Stillwater. But Jayce steps forward, claiming full responsibility and sparing her from prison.
Returning to the Undercity, Vi tells Silco what happened. Seeing the act as a debt he owes, Silco orders Viktor to investigate Jayce—and perhaps assist him in his upcoming trial.

The face of his long-dead partner in Hextech stared ardently at his creator. Perfectly cut dark hair that never changed even after a year, down to the cut on his eyebrow, and his smile. The only difference was in his crystal blue eyes, illuminated in heavy devotion.
Jayce dies after saving his partner from the council explosion with the Hexcore. In his grief, Viktor nurtures the rune that had once adorned the original’s wrist for most of his life, and creates a Hextech android in Jayce’s likeness, as they fall deeply in love.

A figure stands there, slightly hunched, backlit by the bit of light coming in from behind them. Jayce’s breath hitches at the sight of familiar blue fabric and he feels — rather than truly sees — their eyes meet.
Okay. Either the mix of fatigue, panic and adrenaline is finally getting to him and he’s having visual hallucinations, or his partner is alive and standing before him.
Frankly? The former sounds more likely.
“Jayce…?”
Might as well add auditory hallucinations to the list.
The figure-that-realistically-absolutely-cannot-be-Viktor takes a few steps in his direction, and Jayce finds himself rooted in place, still standing in his poor excuse of a hiding spot. His nose chooses that exact moment to finally catch up with his environment and oh fuck. Okay. Fuck.

Jayce has never had any interest in woodworking, so he makes the box out of metal. He chooses pewter because that’s what they have that will look nice and it turns out to be perfect. He realizes he can stamp the Talis logo into the lid and add matching filigree detailing around the edges. The hinges he does in gold as an accent, and to match the gift inside. As soon as it’s finished, he packs and polishes everything up, then takes the box to Viktor.
“Oh.” Viktor says softly upon opening it. When he turns his head up to pin Jayce with a surprised look, his eyes cycle colors, “You made me balls.”

Ice cold fear pierces through his chest when he realizes what this texture reminds him of. Because it feels like Viktor’s skin. It’s the same glowing strange purple metallic muscle-like texture that Viktor was made out of after he fused with the hexcore.
What is this? Is he really crawling through his partner’s skin?
