With sadness in their hearts over Shadow's sacrifice, they (primarily Vio) research ways to bring him back. They manage to bring him back, and they live a normal life together for awhile. That is until a portal brings them on another adventure with many other "Links" from across time.

    It was very concerning for the colors when suddenly, while walking with the chain, Shadow states, "something's wrong." before disappearing from their now shared body. It was even more concerning for the rest of the chain when Four collapsed to the ground a moment later, completely unresponsive.

    Where Shadow ended up though was definitely not what anyone could have expected. He appeared in a group of people who all claimed they were in a romantic relationship with a Link. Now, with no other known objectives, they have to search for the chain as they continue traveling through different portals across time.
