But something unexpected happened that shook the whole Newkama in their pointy boots.
And with no living survivors of the hormone, Ivankov couldn't really say that it was not supposed to happen.

All of his hard work is going to pay off eventually and once his life is more stable and secure then he will go off and experience everything that he's ever wanted to experience.
At least, that was the plain. Life is not predictable though and Izuku had no way of knowing that his perfectly mundane life was all about to change.
