Her mother and father both died at the hands of a rogue group of villains in northern Japan, a town called Hirrataya, their home town. Killed in their home no less.
No, they weren't a family of importance so none has any specific reasons for them being targeted, professionals labeling the incident a ' random break-in'.Now, she moved to Musutafu near Tokyo due to her quirk being deemed unstable for her local hero training school and being sent in the direction of UA by the principal. Here she now lives in the hero course dorm of Class 1 A with her little sister Kiyoko, her other little sisters Hyriko and Asuka. The latter comatose in a nearby hospital due to the villain attack.

Zenitsu hated it. He hated that the specific sound of air entering that boar mask behind him, muffled by a building and the sound of nature, brought an antsy terror to his veins. Phantom pains of those feet kicking him, of trying to breathe through a broken nose, of a blade threateningly placed at his neck, they all haunted him. It made him strain his ears constantly just to place where Inosuke was in case he charged. It was all mentally taxing.
His skin crawled just thinking about it, only for shame to wash over his mind. Who would believe him? Who would believe that the whiny little brat was scared of one of his best friends, but only in this one extremely specific instance? They'd think he was making excuses to get out of helping.
