“Good,” Ryosuke responds seriously. “I’m making an itemized list of everything I’ll have to schedule ahead of time. I’ll cross-reference with the website of whatever shrine we choose.”
Takumi smiles to himself, imagining Ryosuke scribbling out a fountain-pen list onto a piece of ledger paper, knowing he’ll have to rip it off and start a new one because he’s thought of too much. Ink staining between his fingers, little marks next to words. His neck is bent but focused, his eyes a little less than 20/20 and farsighted, so he has to make an effort to see, and the feeling Takumi gets in his stomach imagining this laid out in front of him is too much.
