Maybe a plethora of saccharine cherry blossoms and an earthbound couple kissing underneath it, as Valentine's day reaps new couples who whisper to each other with their little sweet cherry wine oaths. Or perhaps, a frail tree whose skeletal branches were merely scrawny, grey twigs-- lifeless, cold and still. (Lifeless, like those cherry blossoms you held in your palm when you were five, getting caught in the torrents of the billowing wind.) Either way, you witness these scenes with thick glass between you and that world. Like a show: you can't touch it, you can't feel it, only able to witness it from this languid vantage point.
Sometimes you foolishly wonder what it is like to be a part of that scenery.

Bdubs knew that something wasn’t right with him. There was something wrong with him that shook others to the very core. The gaping mouths and wide, confused eyes were nothing he hadn’t seen before, but definitely something he tried to avoid. So he shied away from the subject, preferring to make excuses and leave or change the subject whenever someone brought it up.
