Summary
Over 400,000 American children are in foster care - over 400,000 children were once abandoned by their parents.
Joshua William Dun is one of those 400,000; he's just another number to add to the endless list of abandoned souls.
Josh survived in the same orphanage for 15 years of his life amongst other broken children; but Josh has trouble on dealing with his emotions. He has some real trouble on dealing with his rage and hatred about the world as well.
Joshua William Dun is everything a mother wouldn't want her son to become: he's a punk, pierced, rebellious, mad and homophobic teenager who has no limits, no morals, no rules, and no love. And he can't be repaired.
Josh waited 15 years of his life to be adopted. He never was; that remains true until the most unexpected people decide to put all their faith on him - a lovely lesbian couple with another adopted son.
Josh hated the new rules and limits that were imposed; Josh hated gay people; Josh hated not being free; and fuck, Josh hates not hating Tyler fucking Joseph, his not so little fucking brother, who's surely going to turn his whole life upside down. -

Summary
Tyler Joseph is an investigative journalist. Joshua Dun is the annoying nepo baby who lurks around the office contributing absolutely nothing to the paper or to society in general, as far as Tyler is concerned. Tyler hasn’t dated in years, not since the incident, and Josh is the last person on earth that he would choose if he were to ever consider exploring love again.
There’s more to Josh than Tyler understands. A bad start to life, a constantly evolving identity, an unstable sense of self, and a complex minefield to navigate whenever he tries to connect with others. Maybe it’s all too much to for other people to tolerate, maybe he’s just too much.
