When the marks of both were placed atop one another, they’d form a solid, black circle, the lines of one filling in the gaps of the other.
Akito gave up on soulmates a long time ago. The religious zealots could scream all they wanted, but some stupid birthmark wasn't going to tell him what to do. Plus, he'd seen the fallout, seen matches go wrong and right and the unpredictability was not something he found appealing.
Until he found himself falling for his best friend. Then the whole idea seemed a little less stupid.
