Two years have passed since Geralt was cursed with the ability to turn into a wolf whenever his medallion is removed, a curse that's turned into a blessing now that he and Jaskier are partners in everything they do.
It's no exception when they discover a Nilfgaardian army bearing down on Cintra, headed straight toward a certain child surprise. With Jaskier's help and Geralt's enchanted medallion they must find a way to get into the palace, make sure Princess Cirilla is safe, and get out with her in tow if needed, regardless of Queen Calanthe's orders.

Summary
Geralt still felt more animal than human and out of control since he re-transforms into his human form. When he leaves with Eskel to clear his animalish thoughts for a few minutes, Lambert takes advantage of his absence and threatens Jaskier to leave their small pack. Frightened by the witcher’s harsh words, Jaskier is seriously injured by another predator while fleeing into the woods.
Lambert had no idea about what he had done. Getting between the wolf and his mate was the biggest crime that could have been committed, he knew that but he did it anyway. The rabbit was an outsider and the last time they accepted an outsider, it was their biggest fault. He cannot let that happen again.
But a moment of anger was going to make things a lot worse than he predicted.

In which those words were spoken by two different people at two different places and two different times, and they were hated for it. Their words shaped two children’s lives, and the course of history was forever altered because of it.
Otherwise, in which only weeks after the Uchiha Clan Massacre, another massacre takes place, mostly kept quiet and swept under the rug. They don’t particularly want people getting the wrong impression of Konoha, and it’s quite easy to keep it under wraps.
After all, the Haruno Clan is predominately civilian – nothing more than a small blip on the sensory radar of a shinobi.
Or: Haruno Sakura and Uchiha Sasuke are alike in more ways than they both know, Uzumaki Naruto is rather obsessed with them both, and Hatake Kakashi was only prepared for one foolish boy, one seeming fangirl, and one revenge obsessed moron – not two.

Her physical scores weren’t all that impressive, though she could definitely take a beating. In fact, her pain tolerance was incredible. Iruka-sensei and Mizuki-sensei told her it was a good thing, and that it’d be very beneficial for her career. Some people were just born with a high pain threshold, while others gained one over time.
Too bad they never asked which type she was.
