Summary
Harry, Ron, and Hermione return to Hogwarts to repeat their last year. Coming back to the former battlefield turns out to be a challenge none of them is truly prepared for. Hogwarts might be restored, but the scars run deeper than the eyes can see.
Percy, Nico, and Clarisse receive a quest from Hecate. Instead of caring for the injured and mourning the fallen, they're sent away. Fate is always cruel.

Percy, Nico, and Clarisse receive a quest from Hecate. Instead of caring for the injured and mourning the fallen, they're sent away. Fate is always cruel.

The story follows the demigods to Hogwarts where they're searching for an artifact. It's right after the war and emotions are still boiling under the surface. Suspicion, grief, and anger are their constant companions as they meet the wizards - especially a certain trio. Nothing is as it seems and as time marches on a bigger mystery is uncovered.
There's also love. A growing relationship between Percy and Nico.

Before things can get awkward, John turns the aborted handshake into a jovial, manly sort of punch to Ghost’s shoulder. It's rather like how he imagines it would be to hit an adult moose, both in the physical sensation and in the frisson of anticipated danger it elicits. Gamely, he says, “Truck’s just about set, sir. Glad to be working with you.”
Ghost’s eyes flick up to John’s face, and then higher, to his hair. He frowns.

No Navy wolves want a three year old cramping the style of their pack runs anyway so Jake is sure that his absence from the next full moon will be excused.
Little does he know that Ice and the rest of the flyboys aren’t going to just let the last two remaining members of the Seresin pack isolate themselves. Or, as Mav says: “Ice is a sucker for pups and strays.”
