Klavier's been having trouble sleeping lately. Kristoph makes him tea and, when Klavier asks, puts in a few drops of a sedative he's been prescribed—Kristoph's hands are steadier than his, and Klavier's mind is so muddled after four days awake that he doesn't care how he gets to sleep but only that he does.
Kristoph has invited over Phoenix Wright tonight. He'll stand there in the hall with his hands shoved deep into his pockets, stubble bluish-gray on his chin, and Klavier will have to look him in the eye and wonder why his brother decided to befriend a forger, or worse, wonder whether Phoenix Wright was a forger at all, and whether he and Kristoph made a horrible mistake—
He decides to go to bed early.
