Summary
Goblins finally defeated, Chip stood with his sword in hand, chest heaving. His vision blurred at the edges, but he knew he wasn’t that injured. Not from the battle anyway.
His body ached. His chest burned. Each short breath he tried to take in only sent sharp bolts of pain through him. He needed to go take his binder off, but his quarters felt so far away, and he really didn’t feel ready to deal with the dysphoria that went along with not wearing it. Really, Chip shouldn’t have been fighting with it on, but he didn’t know the goblins were going to attack their ship, let alone dozens of them that took so much time and energy to fight off.

Summary
“Young Oliver is sickly and weak,” Gillion explained earnestly. “Jay, you must help heal him.”
Ollie’s jaw dropped. “Hey! I’m not weak!”
Chip grinned at him and ruffled his hair. “’Course not, kid. But do you know what Gill’s on about?”
Ollie huffed, glaring at Gillion’s legs. “No.”
Stupid fish. Stupid TRT. Stupid Marshal John.
“Have you been hiding an injury, Ollie?”
“No!”
Ollie glared at Gillion once more. “I just- I need to go onshore somewhere. To get my meds.”

Summary
He hadn’t meant to snap at her like that but Jay didn’t seem to react to it. She sighed and watched him walk away from the wheel.
But Chip didn’t manage to get very far. The sudden movement caused his head to spin and the wind knocked what little breath that he had out of his lungs. Jay called something after him but the words fell on deaf ears.
Everything seemed to go blurry for a second as Chip’s chest heaved with the strain of his bindings. The next thing Chip knew he woke up on one of the cots in their sleeping quarters.

Summary
Chip is shirtless, with a dry shirt balled up in his arms and held up to his nose. He has wedged himself between the toilet and the bathtub, legs sprawled clumsily before him and back awkwardly propped against the wall of the tub in what can only be described as a breakneck angle. His eyes and nose are red, tinged pink with alcohol and tears that balance on the edge of his eyelashes. His newly regrown curls hang limply around his face, framing the round cheeks and spotty skin. His ears and neck are growing as red as his nose, and his eyes are dilated so much you can barely even tell they're brown.
Drunk Chip is a sopping-wet mess.
