    What was she to him? Why couldn’t he place it? Did he have a crush on her? That would’ve made sense, as cute as she was, as genuinely as she spoke with the others. He couldn’t help but admire how quickly she was bouncing back from what must have been the most devastating revelation of her life. And he admired how the others were handling it, listening to stories she offered, getting to know her again. He wanted to get to know her too, wanted to receive some of the glowing attention she showered on everyone else, but...
    For some reason, he was terrified of what she might say to him. He felt like he’d done something horribly, terribly wrong.

    What if Okarun had gone along with Momo and the others to Shimane prefecture?
    What if... even then, even he couldn't hang on to the memory of her?

    Or, "That Ain't How Ghosts are Supposed to Work, Y’know!"

    During a field trip to a traveling historical exhibition, Momo, Okarun, and their classmates are attacked by a strange Yokai- in the sense that everyone can see her, and she emerged from a glowing green portal she tore open herself with a glowing katana.

    To make matters worse, when she tries to escape with a hostage, Momo and Okarun are dragged into the portal and find themselves in an alarmingly green void filled with floating purple doors and rocks. Now not only do they still need to find the Yokai, they also need to find a way back to Kamigoe City.

    Maybe a certain white haired boy with ghost powers (sounds familiar) can help.

    And speaking of- what’s going on with Okarun...?

    Momo’s already bad day spirals after she snaps at the school’s resident occult nerd before storming off. Determined to prove him wrong, she visits a haunted hospital to prove ghost stories are real—and maybe debunk some alien rumors too. He, in turn, goes sky-watching for UAPs at a spot also known for yokai sightings, hoping to prove her wrong.

    He was right. So was she.

    She comes back with psychic powers.

    He doesn't come back at all.

    Except... he doesn't seem to notice.

    Ever since 'Hikaru' came back, he’s been trying to understand what it means to be human. Trying to be the 'Hikaru' that Yoshiki remembers, or at least the kind of person who deserves to be by his side.

    The internet says humans show affection through small gestures, so he starts with flowers, compliments, and hand-holding.

    (Or: 'Hikaru' has everyone convinced he is in the middle of a very public, very earnest courtship ritual and Yoshiki is too mortified to stop him.)
