Midoriya Izuku is fourteen years old. He lives with his mother, Midoriya Inko. He loves katsudon and All Might and analyzing Hero fights. Everybody said that he was Quirkless, so he listened.
Quirkless people don't look at something and have a screen appear with flavour text.
Quirkless people don't touch something and instantly know how to use it best as a weapon.
Quirkless people don't get EXP from washing dishes.
And Quirkless people most definitely do NOT respawn when they die.
Midoriya Izuku has decided that maybe he isn't as Quirkless as he thought he was.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya always wanted to be a hero. That dream was cut short at the age of 12 when he died of leukemia.
Two years later, being a ghost is getting kind of old. There's only so much to do when you're legally dead. But when Izuku finally meets All Might and his best friend gets accepted to the top hero school in the country, things get a lot more interesting.

Izuku inherited his parents’ quirks, but he swore he’d never use his fire.
He knows first hand how—bright, burning, scorching, painful, terrifying, destructive—it is, after all, and Izuku promised (promised his crying mother, promised his burning self, promised the laughing memory of his father) that he’d become a hero who stops that kind of despair.
Even if he has to burn his own wings to do so.
But when someone with the exact same problems, fears, and pain shows up... Izuku can't help but try to heal them. And in doing so, he himself may be healed too.

Summary
Izuku wants to be a hero.
No matter what anyone says, his teachers, his classmates, or even Kacchan, he wants to be a hero.
It shouldn't matter that no one thinks he can. It shouldn't matter what people think, or say, because the only thing that matters is if he can, and he's at least going to try. He'll find a way. Even if his quirk is what it is, he'll find a way to be a hero without pushing anyone else down.
...but who has ever heard of a hero who needs to borrow other people's quirks just to fight?
(Currently on hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. Sorry.)
