“I’m not a dog,” he snaps back immediately, eyes clearing slightly. At the sight of your raised eyebrow, he buckles down, firm and unyielding. “I’m not. I’m not something you can tame.”
“And are you sure about that?"
He hesitates, not for long, just for a split second, but it’s enough to suffice as an answer.
