Summary
Zoryu was to be married to Su-Jin, from the Ma'aoki clan, were it not for the intervention of a spirit. In an attempt to have the wedding take place as planned, Hei-Ran invites Kyoshi and Rangi to the Imperial City and asks Kyoshi to negotiate with Ka'ba Ma'alu, the hippo-cow spirit. During their stay in the Fire Nation, Hei-Ran attempts to tell Rangi that she and Atuat are in a committed relationship. Things don't go as planned.

Summary
Kyoshi needs Tagaka's guidance to locate an old totem head the pirate has stolen years prior. She takes Tagaka, as a prisoner, into the Yokoya Mansion so that they can work together. Upon arrival, Tagaka quickly devises a plan to escape.
The first chapter was inspired by the "Daofei" prompt from Kyoshi Era Week 2024.

A young officer marched, unchallenged, ahead the Captain, the crew, and the merchants. Upon crossing the ice dock and being lifted onto the gate, she offered a deep bow as she waited permission to speak. This was odd. She didn’t have a topknot. The men were noticeably stunned as well. "Lieutenant Rangi Sei’naka?” Tiguak asked. "Yes, sir.” She spoke firmly, but her voice was hoarse from crying. When Atuat met her eyes, she could see how distressed the girl really was. “Your letter spoke of a high-ranking official. Who is she?”
