It had been rather concerning how little they had heard from the trio. Sora could count on one hand how many times he'd seen Ven off-world after the war. Then it happened, and now Ven hardly left home. Kairi had been the one to suggest that Sora start to visit the blonde when she returned home, Aqua giving her a grace period as a reward for all her progress in training. That was what she'd told Kairi, at least. They didn't doubt there was more to it. Kairi had been worried Ven would get lonely.

Hold him for me. Luffy whispered even though his first mate couldn't possibly enter their tightly-knit bond to hear his order. Ace clutched a hand around the swordsman's wrist, trying his best to form a coherent sentence. He could feel his form slipping, flames flickering at the edges of his body.
"Keep going," He gritted out through the pain. "Hold onto me," Zoro's frowning face held confusion but he nodded anyways. And with fleeting feelings of Sabo's thinly restrained panic and Luffy's stubborn pain, Ace succumbed to the darkness that crept along his vision.

Summary
They were a package deal, sealed by the gods themselves. They didn't know what would happen if they were too far from each other and none of them were willing to risk it. They had been torn apart before and would be damned to hell before they allowed it to happen again.
Like always, they adapted quickly and efficiently. Luffy had learned to hold his brothers' hands one second and then swing their blades the next. So more often than not, Luffy would always be seen with two sheathed daggers on his hip or in between two older brothers. He felt a bit selfish for not wanting it any other way.

It was like drowning in fire.
The air around him was burning hot and lashed out like angry flames but pressed against his body as if he was submerged in water. His breaths came out in short bursts, little to no oxygen entering his lungs causing his chest to burn.
He couldn't see anything. Nothing but red. The color was everywhere. In the air, on the ground.
Inside of him.
It raged like a wild inferno, bursting from his body like a tsunami. He couldn't hear himself scream over the roaring power. He cried out as pain laced his body, falling to the ground and curled into a fetal position.
A cold pressure on his head prompted him to look up. He squinted, fearing to see nothing but the cursed crimson but paused when his eyes laid upon a soft blue instead.
It calmed him and without thinking twice, he reached for it.

Sunny eyed the woman up and down. He didn't trust her. Mari had told him to get help and get to the city. The woman kept her hand extended as she waited patiently for Sunny to take it. His sister had said to get help and this woman was offering it. Something didn't feel right though.
"Will we go back for my sister?" He asked quietly, staring blankly at her. The woman paused for a moment before nodding with a soft smile.
"Of course," She said softly. "But we can't go back for her if you get sick from being out here in the cold," She told him. Sunny looked down at his shorts and thin shirt, they were torn in places and covered in dirt. He supposed the woman was right. Nodding to himself he reached up and finally grasped the woman's hand.

She wasn't so sure if she trusted this boy to actually help her but Hero's smile was charming enough for her to cave. After all, two heads are better than one and Hero seemed to be the only person in the world who understood her situation. She would have to be a fool to push him away. -

Felix stared at his hands with lidded eyes and noted each scratch and speck of dirt. More tears came to his eyes and he squeezed them shut in an attempt to hold them back.
All he could do for now was do was survive. He'd just have to have faith that his friends would save him. He could do that. Yeah. He could do that for them.

MK couldn't sleep. He had a pretty shit sleep schedule before but this was pushing it. Every time he close his eyes he saw Her, heard Her voice whisper lies and threats into his ears. He feared sleeping but it didn't matter whether or not he was scared. No matter how much his weary body pleaded for him to crash his brain was far too wired. He wanted nothing more than to finally rest.

"I just want to be good enough," He whispered, raising his head to look past Wukong. The Lady's empty eyes bore into him from where she still stood with her hands stretched out. Tears came to his eyes as he felt the thread inside of him finally snap. He pushed Wukong away from him just as his eyes rolled back and he finally fell asleep.
