Kageyama is face to face with a living ghost: right now, this December, Hinata is in Miyagi and graduation is still far enough away to be a talk for the future. In no time at all, he’ll be gone.
Or: growing pains, and the ways they bruise, in three stages.

EVERYBODY READ THIS NOW…INCREDIBLE poetry, EXCELLENT use of the medium, and one of the coolest things I’ve read basically ever.

An absolute masterclass in dialogue, thematic cohesion, and facing your fears. The perfect blend of domesticity and terror straight out of my dreams. Truly nobody does these two justice the way Rosie does.

Summary
Maybe it was the gold light, or the rhythm of the bus, or the softness of Hinata’s hair. It didn’t matter. What mattered was the thought that lit up in Kageyama’s mind, clear and piercing as a needle to fabric:
I want to stay here, like this, forever.
It would be the very first time he thinks this, but not the last. The understanding of this was uplifting and horrible in equal amounts.
Or: sand, sunshowers, and how hunger can make monsters out of even the best prodigies.

My little disaster child. Will have to revisit the weak points of this work, improve on many, many things. Intending to try harder next time.
