The Black family and the Potter family grew-up spending their summers at neighboring lake houses a few hours off the East Coast. Then one summer, James Potter stopped coming. Regulus can admit he was a little disappointed when his first crush suddenly disappeared from his life. But it's been seven years. He's clearly over it.
That is until his last summer before starting college, when that same golden-skinned boy steps out of the car, grown and beautiful, and crashes back into Regulus' world.

He was eighteen years old, his parents turned away from him but he was content on raising the baby alone, living in his old apartment, supported only by his elder brother. Regulus did not need anyone else; he was always alone, and the pregnancy and the childbirth were not going to change that.
Because it was all his fault. He let his crush get the better of him, his love blinded him, and his weakness costed him a mistake that he could not erase.
It was foolish that Regulus would assume that he would remain alone forever. Because no matter what, his mate would always find him and bring him back to remind of the love they shared in their last years of youth.
