It’s…not like she didn’t know where she came from. She knew that she was born somewhere in May City. She knew she wasn’t like the normal people of this town. She knew that she had family. People who care about and love her.
Just that she’s had a hard time remembering them. Their names, faces, and voices are all blurry and garbled…Like her mind is forcing her to not remember.
But while her mind remembers, her body does.
And it’s not just when it comes to physical sensations… Like being comforted by the scent of tobacco and gun polish, or waking up and expecting to be squished or held by someone far larger than her.
But the still-healing wounds on her body are evident that *something* happened.
